#30DaysofHTML Day 30: So long, and thanks for all the fish! ππ‘π
Let's play #30DaysofHTMLJeopardy
Thank you so much for participating in #30DaysofHTML. Erika and Jen learned a ton writing this series. We hope you learned a ton as well.
If youβve been following along with our code challenges and responding in the thread, donβt feel βbehind!β Weβll still be hanging out, reviewing your work, for the next month or so.
In this email, we measure success, discuss next steps, and give you π one final game-show quiz! π
π Measuring Successπ
We would very much love to hear about what you thought about this email course. π Please let us know via this simple Google form π - there are only 5 questions.
From our original message, we set the following metrics for success for #30DaysofHTML.
By the end of the course, we hope that:
β€οΈ You are embarrassed by the <div> monoculture in your work. Better, you decide to change it.
π You decide that maybe you could incorporate a few more <article> elements into your site. Or <figure>. Or definition lists. Or <details>!
π You identify one improperly used element in your HTML in the next 30 days, and you fix it with the right usage.
π You have fun, and ask Jen and Erika to run another challenge.
Did you meet our goals for your learning? Did you meet your own goals? We'd love to hear about it on social media or through our Google feedback form.
Don't forget to use #30DaysofHTML as your hashtag on social media.
Jen is looking for work
After teaching web design as a Lecturer at Harvard University Extension School for the past 9 years, Jen's last day is on June 30. Jen is a 2018 winner of Harvard's Shattuck Excellence in Teaching Award and has over 20 years of experience in teaching and coding HTML, CSS, user experience, content management systems, and instructional design. She has deep experience with in-person, hybrid, and online instruction, both synchronous and asynchronous formats. Sheβs written 3 books, recorded close to 60 video training courses at LinkedIn Learning, Frontend Masters, and others. Sheβs also presented nearly 100 conference workshops and talks. Sheβs open to full-time, part-time, and contract work.
Jen is a best fit for training subject matter experts in teaching coding effectively or creating a web design or UX curriculum. She would also be a fantastic developer advocate. If that's interesting, get in touch.
