In the bottom right corner of the CodePen example, there should be a button that says Fork. Click it. This will make a copy of the code that you can save to your CodePen account.
While anyone can edit or fork a CodePen, you can’t save and share your work without creating a CodePen account. It’s easy and free. The button to do this is in the upper right corner of the CodePen window.
The < details> looks a little funny but it seemed to belong somewhere. The Rottnest Island < cite> was hard to figure out. Maybe there could have been a < dfn> and <abbr>.
OK, good work -- details looks funny because you put it in the middle of a paragraph. As you say, probably better with <dfn> (<abbr> is abbreviations). <cite> is for citations, as in quoting a source like a book, film, artwork, etc -- probably not a geographic locale. The "animal fact guide" cite is a good one, but not so much the others. <aside> for resources and selfies is a good choice. Nice work as always!
Great first pass at this! You might want to revisit some of the paragraphs. Is there an article inside the aside? That would be somewhat unusual. Your main appears to be placed well -- nice job! 🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉
I put the Resources and Selfies sections in asides, but kept the Resources section in the <main>. I also put the first part an <article>. Additionally, I tried to use other tags we've learned, like <time>, <cite> and <dfn>!
Excellent job! 🔥🎉🔥🎉🔥🎉 Love your element choices, and your comments look great. My examples are over-commented for a developer, so don't use that as a model. 🤣 Comment as much as you need to understand yourself in about 6 months. Well done!
I wrapped the first two parts into an <article> tag and <main> tag, with the list and selfie section in <aside> tags. Hopefully I'm starting to get the hang of these types of elements!
🔥🎉🔥🎉🔥🎉 Well done! Yes, I think you are getting the hang of this for sure. Excellent job identifying main content, the aside, and everything in between!
Love the details items! For the <dfn>, this goes around the term being defined (quokka) rather than the definition itself (which is the rest of the paragraph). Also love that you divided the page into asides and a main focus, rather than making the whole page the main focus -- great work! 🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! I fixed the link. 🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉 Love the markup here! You're saying everything on the page is a main focus -- is that true? It might be, just asking you to be sure! Love the extra markup with dfn, time, etc -- great job pulling together so many HTML elements!
You never learn without practice. I'm super proud of you jumping in each day and trying, and SHARING YOUR WORK. That's brave! Many pros aren't that brave. Well done!
HA -- love the LOTR reference, should have thought of that 🤣🤣 Always enjoy your comments - they show your thinking well. Based on what you've said, I think you have some great markup for this. Nice work as always! 🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉

A slightly improved version, maybe: https://codepen.io/romola/pen/MWpbKmW
Much improved, yay!!!

This looks great!!! 🔥🎉🔥🎉🔥🎉 Not sure you need the <blockquote> at the beginning. Other than that, everything looks excellent -- nice job!
Thank you 😊🙏

Hopping around a everywhere (kind of like an quokka). Can we take a second to admire how cute they are?
Anyways... :)

I need to get used to comment my code... probably better than this but its a start 😅

Thank you for all of the great feedback. I wasn't sure what content was supposed to be the main focus. I'm quite new to coding.
